Martin planned a trip from 23rd to 28th February to continue packing up the house and kick off the work with KR. Fingers were crossed, but hopes were not high.
Thursday 23rd
Martin met with Gino and Alex to discuss permissions, quotes, contracts etc.
Friday 24th
Klodian came to the house with his plumber and electrician. Gino and Alex also attended. We confirmed the quote from the plumber matches the work required (I had some doubts it covered the heating and cooling fully). We went round the house with the electrician clarifying the number of electical outlets so that he could provide a more realistinc quote. We discussed some small changes to the KR quote: insulation of the entire roof, a small reduction in the amount for assistance to other trades.
We agreed that all the quotes would be updated so that I could sign them on Monday. Once signed, Klodian could get his guys to help move furniture.
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th
Martin spent his time packing up the kitchen into cardboard boxes.
Monday 27th
Martin signed four contracts: KR (house), KR (swimming pool), plumber, electrician.
Once signed, two of Klodian’s guys started moving furniture into the hay loft and garage and into the centre of various rooms.
Martin and the electrician marked socket and light switch locations on the walls.
We discussed with Klodian getting quotes for the entrance vestibule and a grille in front of the garage.
Martin finished packing up kitchen stuff and got ready to come home.
We located some left over tiles to repair the kitchen floor and possibly enough to use elsewhere.
