Keys
There is a collection of keys in the key drawer on the right hand side of the credenza (sideboard) in the dining room. For more details see security.
Windows and doors
When you open the external shutters, please use the clips to secure them to the walls of the house or they will blow about in the wind and break.
Also, please close windows when you go out. Not so much for security, but more because of wind. Where you do want to leave the window open (e.g. bathrooms), please close the doors to those rooms. The wind here can pick up suddenly and then the internal doors bang open and shut.
Most windows have mosquito screens.
Tip: Closing the windows and internal shutters in the heat of the day helps to keep the house cooler as does turning off lights and unused appliances.
The garage
To open and close it the garage, you need to enter it from the orange access door in the cellar and use the bolts on the two big garage doors. Please ensure the garage doors are closed and bolted when you are away from the house. Please also bolt the orange access door that connects the garage to the house.
Garden furniture
The garden furniture is kept in the hay loft.
The stable
The stable provides access to the wood shed through the door at the back. If you’re looking for wood to fire the pizza oven, you may find some in the stable and/or the wood shed. A large cast iron key in the key drawer will allow access to stable.
The hay loft
In the hay loft you will find the recycling boxes, garden furniture, spare bulbs, adapters, etc. The hay loft does not need to be locked until you leave.
Pizzeria
The main light switch is in the kitchen to the right of the arched door. There are further light switches inside the hay loft. The tools for the pizza oven are also in the hay loft.
Kitchen
There is a built in dishwasher in the main kitchen. The cutlery goes on a pull out drawer at the very top.
Again, there are pull outs for cutlery and cooking implements in the top drawers of the kitchen units.
Laundry
There is a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer on the first floor. The dryer is a condenser so needs emptying of water from time to time.
