Kitchen

Since we moved in, this has been the hub of the house. Kitchen, dining room and living room in one. It is arranged in two sections: kitchen and dining room.

We decided early on that we wanted to remove the ugly indoor barbeque (probably added in the 70s).

We also toyed with the idea of opening up a door into the hay loft and converting that space into a living room with glass inside the tiles. That was not really practical as the cost of making the living room would be high and the floors are not on the same level.

We settled on creating a new arched door between the kitchen and the covered outdoor dining space. There has obviously been an opening here before, but not a door. We felt that this would be a lovely feature and help the flow of movement from the kitchen to the outside. We would also convert the existing back door into a window.
